Local-LLM DramaBox Prompt-Generation — Throughput Study
LAION Voice-Acting-Pipeline · 5 pathways × {EN, DE} · vLLM continuous batching on a single A100
Feasibility verdict — NVFP4 on A100
Target checkpoint
unsloth/gemma-4-E4B-it-NVFP4
Did NVFP4 run on A100?
NO — NVFP4 does NOT run on A100
Why it fails
The checkpoint declares architecture 'Gemma4ForConditionalGeneration' (model_type 'gemma4') with a compressed-tensors NVFP4 (4-bit) quantization_config. vLLM 0.10.2 has no support for the 'gemma4' architecture, so load fails at ModelConfig validation ('rope_scaling should have a rope_type key') before any weights or NVFP4 kernels are touched. It is NOT simply a rename of gemma-3n: the loadable bf16 model is model_type 'gemma3n' (Gemma3nForConditionalGeneration), a different architecture.

Even if the 'gemma4' architecture were supported by vLLM, NVFP4 (FP4) uses 4-bit tensor-core / CUTLASS kernels that require Blackwell (sm_100+, e.g. B200/GB200). The A100 is sm_80 (Ampere) and has no FP4 tensor cores, so the quantized matmuls could not execute natively on this hardware regardless. FP4 on Blackwell would roughly double dense throughput and cut memory ~4x vs bf16; on A100 the practical path is bf16 (or FP8 on Hopper).

Prompts/hr and /24h are single-GPU projections from the measured steady-state rate of each subset (eager mode; CUDA-graph/compiled mode would be faster).
1,000,000-prompt estimate (single A100)
Mean steady-state rate across all 10 subsets: 5.6 prompts/s → 20,043 prompts/hour → 481,032 prompts/GPU/day.
To generate 1,000,000 DramaBox prompts on one A100: 49.9 hours ≈ 2.08 days (representative even mix of the 10 subsets).
Prompt-generation and DramaBox-TTS should run on separate GPUs — the numbers above are for prompt-gen only; TTS synthesis is a distinct, heavier workload.
DramaBox TTS seed-scaling (for downstream best-of-k planning)
Wall-clock to generate a group of k seeds for one two-scene CUT TO: prompt with the 8B MOSS voice-acting TTS (the model these prompts are synthesized with), measured on a single A100 (bf16, sdpa, fixed 720-token / ~57s window). Prompt-generation (this page) and TTS synthesis run on separate GPUs; this table sizes the TTS side so you can budget best-of-k.
| k (seeds/group) | group wall-clock | clips/s | per-clip s | marginal s / extra seed | peak VRAM |
|---|
| k=1 | 17.6s | 0.057 | 17.58s | — | — |
| k=2 | 22.5s | 0.089 | 11.25s | 4.92s | — |
| k=3 | 25.1s | 0.120 | 8.36s | 2.57s | — |
| k=4 | 25.6s | 0.156 | 6.41s | 0.58s | — |
| k=8 | 30.3s | 0.264 | 3.79s | 1.16s | 26.7 GB |
| k=16 | 40.5s | 0.395 | 2.53s | 1.28s | 29.2 GB |
| k=32 | 59.6s | 0.537 | 1.86s | 1.19s | 34.1 GB |
Decode is latency-bound at small k (k=1→4 adds only ~8s total; the 4th seed ~0.6s), so best-of-4 is nearly free. Compute saturates around k≈8: beyond it each extra seed costs a steady ~1.2s and wall-clock grows linearly, while throughput climbs to 0.54 clips/s at k=32 (9.4× k=1). k=32 peaks at ~34 GB (no OOM on an 80 GB A100).

A 28 female with a breathy, whisper-talk style, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is consumed by a tremor, barely containing a rising panic. (She clutches something unseen.) “I… I don't understand. It just… happened so fast. One minute, everything was normal, and the next… this. I saw her face, you know? Just… gone. Like a photograph bleached by the sun. And the sound… God, the sound. It wasn't a scream, not exactly, but a tearing. A ripping, inside out. I tried to reach, to say something, anything, but my throat just closed up. It's like trying to speak underwater, all muffled and useless. This heavy feeling… it’s just… heavy. Like the air is thick and I can’t breathe. I keep replaying it, over and over, trying to find a different ending, a way it didn’t happen. But there isn’t one. There’s just… this emptiness. A vast, echoing nothingness where she used to be. And the silence afterward… it’s the worst part. A silence so complete it’s deafening. I keep expecting to hear her laugh, or say something silly, something only she would say. But there's nothing. Just this… this hollow ache.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now possesses a chilling, measured composure, almost robotic. (A slight pause before each word.) “The preliminary reports indicate a localized anomaly, exhibiting unusual energy fluctuations. Containment protocols are currently in effect. All personnel are advised to maintain a safe distance. Visual confirmation of the phenomenon is… unsettling. Its structural integrity defies current understanding of physical laws. The residual energy signature is… anomalous. Further investigation is required to ascertain the precise nature and potential trajectory of this event. We are deploying specialized units to the affected sector. Public communication will be provided as soon as further data becomes available. This is a developing situation, and we urge calm. All disruptions are being addressed. The situation is… under control.”
The performance across both moments feels profoundly unsettling.

A 10-year-old female with a bright, brisk, and assertive voice, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is brimming with a quiet, unsettling glee. (Slight head tilt) “It’s funny, isn't it? How easily people believe the stories we tell them, the little carefully crafted narratives that hide everything else.” (A small, almost imperceptible giggle) “They see what they want to see, you know? And I’m so good at showing them exactly that.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now heavy with profound, aching sadness. (Voice trembling) “I wish… I wish someone had just understood. Just for a moment, really understood the quiet things, the little pieces that fell apart.” (A long pause, breath catching) “It wasn’t supposed to end like this, not so suddenly. All the plans… just… gone.”

A 55-year-old male with a booming, resonant timbre, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is tightly wound with a barely concealed ache. (Slight shift in posture) “It’s…remarkable, isn’t it? The way things just…fade. So quickly.” (A brief, almost imperceptible tremor in the voice) “Like a carefully constructed edifice, rendered to dust by a single, careless breath.” Cutting words. “I’d almost forgotten the scent of rain on asphalt.” (A pause, a subtle intake of breath) “A phantom sensation, clinging to the edges of memory.” (A slight clearing of the throat) “Such ephemeral beauty. It’s…disconcerting.” (A barely audible sigh) “One expects permanence. A solidity.” “But there’s only this…the echo.” (A quick, almost dismissive movement of the hand) “It wasn’t as impressive as they made it out to be.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now filled with a bright, almost childlike wonder. (A softening of the vocal resonance) “And the colors, oh, the colors were simply breathtaking.” (A slight upward lilt in the tone) “Like a painter spilled the entire spectrum across the canvas of the sky.” (A moment of genuine warmth in the voice) “Each shade more vibrant than the last, a symphony of light.” (A subtle widening of the vocal openness) “It felt…expansive. Limitless, even.” (A gentle chuckle) “I haven’t felt such a sense of…joy…in a very long time.” (A slight, almost breathless quality) “It was utterly…perfect.” (A soft, contented sigh) “Absolutely perfect.”

A 12 androgynous with a quickly accelerating, androgynous vocal quality, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is overwhelmed by a sudden, sharp wave of mortification. (Shifts weight) “Oh, wow. I… I completely misread that. I thought… I thought you were asking about the library book, you know, the one on astrophysics, and I just… I started rambling about the gravitational pull of black holes and… and the implications for temporal distortion.” (Voice cracking slightly) “It’s just… sometimes my mind just goes off on these tangents, and I don’t even realize it until it’s too late, and, honestly, it’s just so embarrassing.” (Looks down briefly) “I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to sound… well, completely insane.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now filled with a cold, hard fury. (Clenches jaw) “No. No, you do NOT get to dismiss that. You just… you just laughed. You actually *laughed* at me when I was trying to explain something I’m genuinely passionate about, something I’ve spent hours researching, and you treated it like a joke.” (Voice rising sharply) “It’s not a joke! It’s… it’s complex. It’s fascinating. And your reaction… it was condescending and dismissive, and honestly, it’s incredibly hurtful.” (Voice breaking, a sharp intake of breath) “You have no idea the effort it takes to even try and articulate these things, and you just… you belittled me. That’s not okay.”
The performance across both moments feels intensely raw and emotionally volatile.

A 22 female with a glacially slow, digitally pure voice, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is bubbling with a giddy, almost painful euphoria. (Tilts head.) “Oh my god, look at that… the way the light catches the dust motes, it’s like… a million tiny diamonds dancing, isn’t it?” (Small giggle.) “And the scent of rain on hot asphalt, it’s so… intensely beautiful, it makes my chest feel like it’s expanding, filling with… everything.” (Voice slightly cracks.) “Everything good, everything bright, everything… perfect. I can almost taste it, this feeling, like spun sugar and sunshine.” (Breathing softly.) “It’s all just… shimmering, you know? Everything is shimmering and vibrating with… pure, unadulterated joy. I feel… limitless. Just… boundless happiness.” (Long pause.) “This is… everything I’ve ever wanted. It’s… overwhelming, in the best possible way.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now hollow and brittle, filled with a crushing, desolate grief. (Voice barely a whisper.) “It’s just… gone. All of it. The light, the diamonds… the scent… it’s all just… dust now.” (Voice breaking.) “And the feeling… the expansion… it’s just a hollow ache now, a vast emptiness where… where everything used to be.” (Long, drawn-out sigh.) “The sun feels cold, the rain feels like tears, and the asphalt… it just smells like nothing at all.” (Voice cracking again.) “It’s a silence so profound, it’s deafening. A silence that swallows everything whole.” (Whispering.) “I don’t understand… how can it just… vanish? How can so much… just disappear?” (Silence.) “It’s cold. So cold. And… and I’m just… empty.”
The performance across both moments feels like a devastating and abrupt shift between ecstatic bliss and profound despair.

A 10-year-old female with a bright, highly-pitched, and energetic voice, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is filled with a profound, aching longing for a lost presence. (A slight shift in gaze, a breath held.) “Do you ever just… look at the stars, and feel like you’re looking for something you can’t quite name? Like a melody you almost remember, but the notes just… fade away before you can grasp them?” (A small hand fidgets.) “It’s like a whisper in the dark, a feeling that something beautiful is just beyond reach, and you can hear it, but you can’t quite find the door to get to it.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now radiating a surprising, almost defiant joy. (A quick, bright intake of breath, a slight bounce in the tone.) “But then, sometimes, you remember the way the sun feels on your skin after a long, cold day, and it’s like a burst of sunshine inside, chasing away all the shadows, and suddenly everything feels… right.” (A small, delighted giggle escapes.) “And the way you laugh with someone, a really genuine laugh that bubbles up from your tummy, that’s like finding a hidden treasure, don’t you think? It’s a warmth that just spreads out and makes everything shimmer.”
The performance across both moments feels intensely personal and deeply felt.

A 28 female with a bright, almost brittle vocal quality, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is tinged with a quiet amusement, a gentle curve to her lips. (A slight shift in posture) “Honestly, the way he tripped over the rug… it was absolutely ridiculous, wasn't it? Like a newborn foal trying to find its legs, all flailing and surprised. And the little yelp he let out! It just took the wind right out of my sails, I have to admit.” (A small, almost imperceptible intake of breath) “I’ve never seen him move so fast, or look so utterly bewildered. It was a perfectly timed comedy of errors, and I just stood there, completely captivated by the sheer absurdity of it all.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now filled with a raw, overwhelming grief, a discordant tremble beneath the clear articulation. (A pause, a catch in her breath) “And now… the silence. It’s a vast, echoing nothingness where his laughter used to be, a constant, painful reminder of everything that’s been lost. The world feels muted, colors drained, like a photograph left out in the sun too long. I keep reaching for him, instinctively, only to grasp at empty air, a phantom warmth that vanishes the moment my fingers brush against nothing.” (Her voice cracks slightly on the last word) “Every little thing, every familiar object, just screams his absence. It's a weight, an unbearable pressure in my chest, a hollow ache that won't seem to ever truly lessen.”

A 35 female with a warm, authoritative voice, delivering this high-quality studio voice recording with no background noise.
The same voice is suffused with a crushing sense of disappointment. (Slight sigh) “So, the report came back. And... it's not what we hoped for. Not at all. We invested so much time, so many resources, and the projections... they're significantly lower than anticipated.” (Pauses, adjusting posture) “I went over the numbers again, and again, trying to find a different way to interpret it, a silver lining perhaps, but there isn't one. It’s just... a considerable shortfall. We’ll need to reassess the entire strategy, obviously.” (A brief, involuntary sound of frustration) “The market conditions shifted unexpectedly, the competitor's new product line is proving more popular than we foresaw; these are all factors, of course.” (Voice softening slightly) “But the core issue remains. We didn't achieve the projected growth. It’s... disheartening, to say the least. We had such high expectations.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now brimming with quiet, hopeful anticipation. (A small, almost breathless laugh) “And the preliminary data is in. It looks… promising. Really promising. The initial user feedback has been overwhelmingly positive; people are connecting with the core functionality in a way we hadn't quite envisioned.” (A subtle shift in pace, a touch more energy) “The engagement metrics are through the roof! We're seeing significantly higher retention rates than our beta tests indicated. It seems the intuitive design really resonated with the target demographic.” (A brief, pleased hum) “The early indicators suggest we might be on the cusp of something truly special here. It's exhilarating, honestly. A real validation of all the hard work everyone put in.” (Voice fading slightly at the end) “There’s still a long way to go, naturally, but this… this feels like a turning point.”
The performance across both moments feels profoundly human.

The same voice is quietly observing a slowly shifting pattern. (A slight shift in weight) “Just… the light.” (A brief pause) “It’s… changing.” (A subtle intake of breath) “So… subtly.” (A tiny, almost imperceptible smile) “Like… a breath.” (A quick glance to the side) “Almost… nothing.” (A hesitant nod) “And yet…” (A long, drawn-out vowel sound) “It’s all there.” (A gentle clearing of the throat) “Everything’s… present.” (A soft, almost inaudible sigh) “Just… existing.” (A slow, deliberate blink) “Quietly… being.” (A barely perceptible shift in posture) “The stillness…” (A fragile, airy tone) “It holds… so much.” (A final, sustained note) “Really… so much.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now consumed by a sudden, overwhelming sorrow. (A sharp, ragged breath) “Gone.” (A choked sound) “Just… gone.” (The voice cracks slightly) “Everything… vanished.” (A desperate, rising inflection) “All of it.” (A trembling pause) “The colors… faded.” (A low, guttural sound) “Empty.” (A broken, fragmented tone) “So… hollow.” (A shuddering intake of breath) “Cold.” (A whispered plea) “Please… come back.” (A raw, unfiltered emotion) “It hurts.” (A final, despairing whisper) “It just… hurts.”

The same voice is laced with a weary satisfaction, the weight of a long day settling in his shoulders. (A slight shift in posture, a barely audible sigh.) “Right, the reports are finalized. All data compiled. The projections... they're solid.” (A brief pause, a subtle intake of breath.) “We’ve exceeded expectations, by a significant margin. Years of work culminating in this.”

The same voice now cracks with raw, guttural grief, a tremor running through the foundation of his tone. (His shoulders slump, a choked sound escapes.) “No. No, it can’t be. They said… they *promised* it was stable. Completely stable. Everything was… perfect.” (A shaky exhale, a whispered, heartbroken plea.) “All that time… all the effort… gone. Just… gone. It’s… it's just not fair.”

The same voice is filled with a quiet, aching longing.
(Slight pause, a soft sigh) “Ich habe ihn schon so lange nicht gesehen. (A brief, almost imperceptible shift in tone – a flicker of doubt) “Ich frage mich, ob ich mich getaeuscht habe. Ob alles wirklich so war, wie ich es mir in Erinnerung habe.”
CUT TO:
The same voice now vibrates with a cold, controlled fury.
(A sharp intake of breath) “Verdammt! Er hat mich betrogen. Wieder einmal. Ich habe ihm alles getraut, ihm mein Herz gegeben, und er hat mich benutzt. Wie konnte ich so dumm sein? So blind?
